It's the end of an era but there is so many MORE stores to be grateful for. A smile comes to my face thinking of each small store I have walked into in my life that has impacted me. Seeing toys zip across the ceiling and KNOWING the OWNERS FACE and they knew MY name made the experience at a local retailer MORE.
For my generation, although I joined the wizarding world a little later than most of my peers, Harry Potter is a close friend and trusted companion. We came of age with the the a young boy who came of age after leaving thecupboardunder the stairs and have taken him into adulthood with us. I can’t imagine a childhood without him, and I’m so glad he’s stuck around as I’ve grown older.
It was my lowest moment as a dad. I had to help my son and couldn’t. I struggle with balancing letting him deal with things on his own and protecting him from harm. But this was different. It was just sadness. It was a little boy trying so hard to be understood. It was my little boy trying to tell me something. It was a difficult night.
