Baby Jack comes from a long line of farmers. Jack's great greats migrated to Wisconsin from Switzerland and used to own farmland in Madison, Wisconsin. We were taught to respect this industry and October is a time to celebrate our cute, furry friends with recognizing the important role they play in society.
Our farm learning lovey is perfect for teaching about farm animals. Children love all of the adorable sheep, cows, duck, and horses. Not only are there many simple teaching moments with the colors, counting and searching for shapes, but also teaching about the importance farm animals and what they can provide for us.
Cows produce milk for us to drink. Baby chicks grow to be chickens which lay eggs for us to eat! Sheep wool can be turned into clothing as well as many other items we use every day. There are so many different needs from farm animals and we can teach our children the importance from an early age. Hopefully our children will grow to be knowledgeable and understand how these animals deserve to be respected celebrated and loved!
Owner Kelley used to rock Baby Jack to sleep singing Old McDonald. She suggests parents and grandparents can use the lovey to interact with kids during this intimate moment. Point and identify colors, share stories about the animals on the farm, look for shapes used to build the pictures and play a game to learn animal sounds.
The Learning Lovey is accented with coordinating ribbons that are sewn shut, so little fingers do not get intertwined in the ribbon loops. The variety of textured ribbons and fabrics encourage tactile play and help children develop cognitively, socially and emotionally through sensory interaction.
This week Team Baby Jack spoke with Brittney S. from our #babyjackfan VIP group. She explained how her son got his first crinkle square from a mystery bag she won from an event.
"At only a few months old he instantly loved it the Baby Jack farm square. He loved the crinkle, all the different textures, and his favorite at first was the clip it came on for teething. I loved it because it made him happy, it’s a great learning tool, and most importantly it’s safe!"
