Devon Moms Day

Devon is a mom of three - would you look at this adorable family!

What are the biggest similarities between you and your kids?

My kids are so stubborn! Just like me - we are all very set in our ways and will let you know we aren’t budging! While it can be very frustrating, I’m proud they stick to their guns and don’t give in. They are also very social and love making friends, just like me! Oh, and they are LOUD . ;)

What was your biggest fear about having children?

My biggest fear was and still is messing up. I was afraid and still am of failing them. I don’t ever want them to feel like I wasn’t there or that I didn’t care. I think that is a struggle with having multiple children as well. You have to juggle your time and make sure all your kids feel equally cared for.

What was the most rewarding thing about raising kids?

The most rewarding is always the love! The kisses, hugs, smiles, and joy they give me is something is indescribable. They complete me and are my reason behind everything I do. I knew I always wanted to be a mom and they show me every day why. I can’t imagine my life without them.

Taylor D. is also mom of three! We've got lots of multiples! Check out this gorgeous backdrop, what an adventure!

Who is your best friend?

My best friend is my sister, Laine, she has always been my favorite person, she is the sweetest human I know.

My biggest accomplishments would be my boys and the family we have created.

What accomplishment are you proudest of?

Having a c-section and caring for my newborn. It was tough, but we made it!

What was your biggest fear about having children?

Giving birth/ more so having to have a c-section. Since I've never had major surgery before.

What was the most rewarding thing about raising kids?

What are the biggest similarities between you and your kid?

LT: LT has my red hair and personality. He is detail oriented and has never met a stranger.

Ace: Ace has my eyes and sense of humor. He laughs at absolutely everything and finds joy in every day.

Did you have a best friend when you were a kid? If so, what were they like?

My childhood best friend is my lifelong friend. Taylor and I have been inseparable since we were four years old! She was my maid of honor and now is Godmother to both boys. Taylor is the epitome of unconditional love and I would be lost without her.

What accomplishment are you proudest of?

My greatest accomplishments are my boys. I pour my heart and soul into raising kind humans who radiate God’s love. I want them to spread kindness, love, and light and they do just that. My oldest is the boy that hugs and uplifts a teammate who struck out and encourages them to keep pushing. Ace is the stranger on the sidewalk who gives a smile when you need it most.

Taylor S. is a mom of one smart and sassy little girl!

What are the biggest similarities between you and your kid?

I never knew how sassy I was until I made a miniature version of myself! We are both very stubborn and opinionated and at times very particular about how a certain task should be done. We love being silly, and will often blast music and have dance parties. Our latest song on repeat is the Adam Lambert version of the muffin man! I have also introduced the magical world of Harry Potter to her she loves listening to her dad read the books at night and the audiobooks on long drives with me! (peep the HP badge on my grad sash!)

Did you have a best friend when you were a kid? If so, what were they like?

My best friend from childhood is still my best friend today! When we were younger, our personalities were very different. She was the sweet kind one, and while I was not afraid to tell someone off for picking on my friends. She is still very much so the same, but a strong woman who I admire.

What accomplishment are you proudest of?

I am proud of the life I have cultivated with my family in the center. My daughter is the most important person in the world to me, and has all my love! I am so blessed to be her mom.

I am proud that she is an independent thinker who stands up for what is right and is always going out of her way to make other kids she plays with feel included. I hope to lead by example through her having witnessed my drive and worth ethic, showing her that if you work hard enough you can accomplish anything! Having recently completed my master's program, I was overwhelmed with joy and gratitude that she was there to celebrate with me.

Last but not least... our fearless leader Kelley and her boss babies who help co-create the loveys we love so much!

Bailey has my personality, and humor and is just so incredibly fun to be around!
